You can Ping the IP but Windows cannot locate the drive
Check Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings
Private > Turn on network discovery > Turn on automatic setup of network connected devices.
Open Network and Internet Settings
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
Right click on your Ethernet connection > Properties
Highlight (TCP/IPv4) > Properties > Advanced
Select WINS Tab
Select Enable NetBios over TCP/IPv4
OK
Check the following Windows services are not disabled. (Manual)
Function Discovery Provider Host
Function Discovery Resourse Publication
SSDP Discovery
UPnP Device Host
In Control Panel select Programs and Features
Select Turn Windows features On or Off
Go down to SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support
Enable it and its subfolders
Select OK and reboot.
This will enable SMB 1.0 that’s needed for NAS.
